Mall Madness- Girl Scouts

The 150th Girl Scout Anniversary was a huge success in the Ensfield mall! I was a Girl Scout all through high school and loved the chance to share my journey with all the young women I met! The STEM booth was working on getting the girls involved in engineering within the coming months by building robots! With a strong engineering background I helped out with the robot circuits and even counseled a young woman struggling with deciding her future. Another booth I was ecstatic to visit was the Gold Award project focusing on flag retirement. This young woman saw the need to honor our country and the men and women who serve it with respect. We discussed my platform and swapped research for further use and education.

After this early afternoon I had the chance to hang out with my sisters and watch our beautiful Miss Connecticut, Eliza Kanner, introduce some young Girl Scouts modeling for the Second Chance Shop fashion show! The show went off without a hitch, ending with dancing and autograph signing that was a blast to be a part of! In other words, the Girl Scouts has a lot to offer young women and its message is empowering to support!

XOXO Lauren
