Mocks on Mocks on Bunnies

Spent the afternoon in mock interviews working on skills that will serve me for a lifetime! I cannot thank my local organization enough for the support and preparation they have provided, and am looking forward to what is next! I was also lucky enough to be able to hold the world's CUTEST dwarf bunny 😍

Women Empowering Women

Gretchen Carlson sat on a panel today, among other incredible women leaders, and spoke about the importance of lifting up women and changing our narrative. Not only was the experience uplifting and motivating for me but it was educational and amazing to witness. Thank you so much to The Center for hosting the WEW event and having me attend! Finding the words to recap this evening is difficult, but journeys are impacted and molded by experiences just like this one so keep an eye out!

Walk for MS

This morning I joined over 2,000 people in CT alone who walked for a cure and in support of MS! Our planned one mile walk turned into four, but alongside our Miss Connecticut, Eliza, and my princess, Maggie, the morning was a blast! PS~ I of course found the smallest puppy 😍 and am so glad the weather is finally sunny!

Community Day

The Keefe Center put on a fabulous community day in Hamden, which is part of New Haven County!   They had a bouncy house, painting, crafts, reading, and vendors from the community all there to make the kids smile! I also had the chance to visit some of the classrooms and talk to the kids about princesses, superheroes, music, dance, and most importantly the role they play in community service!


PS~I also had the chance to partake in a mosaic mural!

Save-A-Suit

The Hamden Regional Expo at Hamden High School was a complete success! Our team at Save-A-Suit suited up veterans for success all day, and had the chance to share our organization on Channel 8 with Gill Simmons! Thank you to all the veterans and to all of Hamden for coming out to donate more suits as well! PS~ I am collecting suits and professional business attire so start collecting and keep an eye out for collection times!

Accreditation Day!

I am SO ecstatic to announce that Contestant #4 (THATS ME) is officially heading to Miss Connecticut in June! My paperwork is turned in, my talent is timed, and I am in the A group! HUGE thank you to the wonderful board who made the day run smoothly and the workshops super insightful! Is anyone else counting down the days?

The 90th Anniversary Gala

What an honor it was to stand among so many incredible women at the 90th Anniversary Gala! I had the chance to officially crown my princess Maggie, who has been up to HUGE things around the state this year! I also got the chance to be announced into the class of 2018 and dance the night away with my sisters, sponsors, and the women who make the organization possible!

PS~ I figured out a way to be taller then my teen for once, just don't ask how I got up there 😂

Triple Crown Charity

Today the Connecticut Commerce of Municipalities threw a derby themed fundraiser for The Village, Channel 3 Kids, and Homes for the Brave. The Hartford Club was a beautiful host and the event raised SIGNIFICANT funds for the charities! I had the honor of representing Homes for the Brave and participating in hosting parts of the live auction! I always love making connections and discussing the topic of homeless veterans and services we need to work on, so I had a blast! It was made even better by the fun racing hats!


PS~ It is also Military Children Appreciation month so be thinking about what you can do!

Graduate Appreciation Week

This evening the lovely ladies of Miss Connecticut met up for a dance marathon for CMN! I unfortunately could not attend because I was wrapping up a busy week of appreciation for the graduate students of Sacred Heart University. I serve as a Graduate Student Council Representative and I am in charge of multiple committees so the past week has been a whirlwind! It culminated in a dinner dance to honor the students and faculty that have worked extremely hard throughout the year so far and recognize high achievers. I am super pleased to announce that all events over the past week were a success, and grateful to have been given the responsibility and honor to represent such a wonderful group of scholars!

Miss America Serves

Miss America serves day is about integrating with our communities to help! For me, this Saturday was just like so many before it, as I spent the day volunteering for the veteran community of Connecticut! I partnered with Operation Hope at the Resource Fair and Stuff a Humvee event in Fairfield! I had a blast handing out household goods and collecting food for the Fairfield food pantry. Moreover, I always love connecting veterans to the appropriate resource to make their life a little easier!

I had the joy of spending the day alongside several of our state representatives and Tony H., our state senator! Together we shared the event on the news and honored our veteran population! I also ran into several other organizations I partner with, does anyone want to guess who my next appearance is with? Check instagram for a clue!
